Mohamed Alabbar (Arabic: محمد بن علي العبار), (born November 8, 1956) is an Emirati businessman and international businessman. He is best known as the founder of Emaar Properties, property developer such as Burj Khalifa and Dubai Mall, and chairman of Eagle Hills, a private company based in Abu Dhabi and real estate development. He is also the founder and director of Monol.com, an e-commerce ecosystem of the Arab world and the largest e-commerce company GCC and chairman of the Americana Group, in the food industry.

Mohamed Alabbar was born in Dubai and is the first of 12 children. Alabbar's father was the captain of a traditional merchant ship known as dhow and raised his children in the Rashidiya area of ​​Dubai. In the 1970s, Alabbar received a government scholarship to study finance and business administration at the Albers School of Business and Economics at Seattle University. In 1992, Alabbar returned to Dubai and began working for the government as the founding director of the Department of Economic Development (DED).
